Singapore 2017 Kingfishers stamps

Kingfishers are a group of small to medium-sized, bright-looking birds in the order Coraciiformes. They fly rapidly, low over water, and hunt fishes from riverside perches, occasionally hovering above the water’s surface. Their feathers are often bright colours, such as blue or orange.

National Monuments of Singapore

Singapore will be issuing a set of six stamps and a miniature sheet on 4 August 2010 to commemorate the nation’s National Day on 9 August.

The values are 1st Local, 2nd Local, 55¢, 65¢, 80¢, $1.10. The miniature sheet have a stamp of $2 value.

55¢ : Command House
65¢ : Chinese High School Clock Tower
