Singapore – Indonesia Joint Stamp Issue

A set of 2 stamps and a miniature sheet will be issued on 7 September 2017 to mark the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Singapore and Indonesia, a significant milestone for both countries. Singapore and Indonesia enjoy a close and warm relationship with collaborations in many sectors.

The Coral Reef theme was chosen to signify the diversity in our relationship and how we are linked by a common marine landscape.

First day covers for the stamp set and miniature sheet will be available.

150th Anniversary of the First Postage Stamp Issued in Singapore

On 1 September 1867, stamps of India overprinted with a crown and various rates of postage were released becoming the first postage stamps of the Straits Settlements. This stamp issue is released to commemorate the 150th Anniversary of the First Postage Stamp Issued in Singapore.

First day covers, presentation packs and a special collection comprising of a set of Singapore and Malaysia Stamps were also available.

Kingfishers stamp issue

Kingfishers are a group of small to medium-sized, bright-looking birds in the order Coraciiformes. They fly rapidly, low over water, and hunt fishes from riverside perches, occasionally hovering above the water’s surface. Their feathers are often bright colours, such as blue or orange.

NS50 Stamp Issue

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of National Serivce. Our national servicemen form the backbone of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) who keep Singapore safe and secure.

Released today are is a set of  5 stamps commermorating the anniversary. There are also a miniature sheet anda collector’s sheet and 2 self adhesive sheets of the 2 different 1st local stamps.

 

Singapore 2016 Festivals stamp issue

A set of 8v stamps will be issued 19 October depicting four major festivals  – Chinese New Year, Hari Raya, Deepavali and Christmas. Special first day cover will be available. Alos to be released wil be 2 booklets containing Chinese New Year and Christmas self adhesive 1st local stamps.

Nature Series – Birds of Prey

Singapore 2016 Traditional Board Games stamp issue

Singapore Post will be issuing a set of 5 stamps titled Traditional Board Games. The stamps feature Chinese Chess, Aeroplane Chess, Snakes and Ladders, Checkers and the Diamond Game which were popular in the 70s and 80s.

The usual first day cover will also be available and a set of maximum cards will also available with special first day cancellations.

Singapore Post have not issue any maximum cards in quite a while.
