Singapore’s Year of the Tiger stamps officially went on sale today. The set of three stamps feature stylised tigers in denomination of 1st Local, 65c and $1.10.
A special collector’s sheet printed with a high reflective hologram described as having a morphing effect. The sheet contain 2 stamps with the values of $5 and $10.
In Shanghai, all 120,000 sets of the Year of Tiger stamps released by China Post was sold out within one and a half hours after it went on sale yesterday.
Collectors had queued overnight in 78 post offices across the city. Some had queued since Sunday night.
Taiwan is one of the earliest country to release stamps for the Year of the Tiger that begins February 14, 2010.
