China & UK Olympic Handover Joint Issue

China Post and the Royal Mail will have a joint issue on the last day of the Olympic Games on 24 August 2008 to commemorate the handover of the Olympic torch.

The United Kindgom will host the next games in London in 2012.

Singapore National Day Stamp Issue

To commemorate the nation’s 43rd National Day, a set of 10 stamps were released on the theme “Singapore Today”.

This is one of the better designed stamps from Singapore in a while.

A to Z of New Zealand

New Zealand A to Z stampsThe series of colourful stamps released this week, called the A to Z of New Zealand, features a different picture for each letter – from cultural icons such as the tiki and the haka, to messages from our history like the Vote stamp bearing the image of suffragette Kate Sheppard from the $10 note and the Zeeland stamp with a picture of Dutchman explorer Abel Tasman, from whom our nation received its name.

Singapore Olympic Stamps

Singapore issued a set of 4 stamps with values of 1st Local, 2nd Local and 2 x $1.10 to celebrate her participation in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The stamps depicts silhouettes of the four sports Singapore is expected to perform well in the games.
